Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
My dance style could be best described as Freestyle Dance. Growing up, I absorbed inspiration from watching dancers on the hit TV show “Soul Train” to following the movements from amazing performers like Janet Jackson, Aaliyah, 2NE1, Ciara, Girls’ Generation, and many more. Letting my soul move to the music allowed me to become one with the music, which is how Freestyle Dance became my style; even though I started my dance journey as a Breakdancer.
Being in Ciara’s music video would impact my life in a plethora of ways. To name a few: I grew up watching and listening to Ciara’s music videos and songs, doing my best to follow the routines to “1,2 Step” or “Lose Control”. Dancing alongside performers I idolized as a child would be an absolute dream. Working with Ciara would open doors in the dance and creative area that I have been unable to for years.
The $20,000 would be life changing. Cosmetic procedures, affording myself the “presentable” smile needed for the dance industry. The money would allow me to pursue the creative endeavors I am passionate about without the constant worry of finances. This would mean being able to travel for audition and work opportunities. Lastly, I would invest in my future by moving to a city with more opportunity for creators like myself.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
