My dance style is heavily inspired by the people around me. I have discovered that taking inspiration from other dancers is training me to be way more confident and comfortable in my movement. I like the feeling of finding my own personal style and continuously adding to it - that's honestly one of my favorite parts of dance.
Being in Ciara's music video would make me very, very proud of myself because it would be a big achievement at my young age and it would show me just how much I can really do. It would be nice to see the 10 hours a week of dance training I already do pay off so big. It would impact my life in the industry by a ton, and I feel like this whole process would elevate me in my dancing and my confidence by a trillion.
With $20,000, I would first donate around $2,000 to the California Fire Relief and Rebuilding Effort. I know many people who have lost their homes in the fires. L. A. is my home so this loss feels close to me. Then I would put around $7,000 into a savings account. I would use the rest to care for me and my family. This prize definitely has more benefits than just money, so I'd say that this would be really helpful for me and my family.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
