My style is a fusion of jazz, hip hop, ballet, and modern. I enjoy the musicality of jazz, the funkiness of hip hop, and the technique of ballet and modern dance. I take inspiration from many of my peers and professors at school who push me to break dance boundaries. I am also inspired by dancers and choreographers such as Camryn Quinn, Madison Cubbage, Sergio Reis, and Devante Latorre. These professionals each have their own style that exudes confidence, which is what I aspire to do.
Being in Ciara’s music video would help me jump start my career in dance while providing me with insight as to what it takes to be a professional dancer. This opportunity would push my creativity and elevate my performance skills from collaborating with top-tier artists. I would love to network with the industry professionals who could help shape my career as well!
I would use the award money to pay off the medical bills from my mom’s recent Cancer treatments as she is a single mom of four and cannot work while going through chemotherapy. My mom has done so much for me and has always been my #1 cheerleader. She supports my dream of being a professional dancer and I want to use this opportunity to give back and support her throughout this difficult journey.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
