I got my inspiration at the age of 8 when I got one of the most well known Wii games, Just Dance! I wasn’t in gymnastics, ballet or dance because my family couldn’t afford it, so playing Just Dance was almost like dance classes. I joined cheerleading in 8th grade and realized how much my dance improved since I was 8! Doing homecoming dances was like rehearsal for me, as if I was preparing for moments and opportunities like this! I love hip hop, but I’m always up for trying some
This opportunity would give my dancing a debut in an icons music video and could be noticed by the dance industry/community! I’ve tried so hard to get into competitive dance and dance school but had no luck. My goal is to be dancer on tour with an artist or become a professional dancer or choreographer. I believe if I was given this opportunity, this would be where my journey really begins!
I would use it for dance classes with a professional choreographer! I know I’m pretty good at dance but I want to WOW people who watch me dance. I would then save some of the money for emergencies and if I have enough left I’d probably give some to my mom. My mom isn’t the best with being financially stable but she makes it work. So I’d love the ability to help her out. My goal in life is to have a well paying job to where I can help my community and family in need!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
