I am a ballet, contemporary and modern based dancer. I am also very versatile in other styles. I’ve been dancing since 6 years old. My home studio is called Jo-Mé Dance Company. I’ve always wanted to teach young minorities like me and show that your goals and aspirations are achievable! I love dancing and being able to make people feel good when watching me perform. I want to earn a BFA in dance and one day open up my own dance studio in my hometown Boston, MA.
Being in Ciara’s Music video will impact my life by giving me the opportunity to work with in a professional environment and be mentored by people who will better my artistry. I can show the world that a young Afro Latina in this industry can make it if you are determined and willing to put in the work.
With the $20,000 I would first give back to my studio, they’ve given me the opportunity to travel and be in an environment where I can be supported throughout my training and push me too my full potential. I would also put it towards college and my family for investing their time in me.
