I grew up training in all dance styles, however I truly found my style and love for dance through jazz and hip-hop techniques. I love blending fieriness and fire with coolness and control. My dance style is really about commanding the room and having confidence in what I am doing whether it is a style like ballet or something as dynamic as hip-hop. Versatility in movement and combining all I know makes my movement unique. Ciara's music perfectly aligns with my style and personality.
Having this opportunity would have a profound impact on my life. As someone pursuing dance as a career, this opportunity will help me gain visibility and showcase why I'm meant to pursue this path professionally. At twenty years old and studying dance, I have learned a lot about the craft and am ready for the next steps. Being in Ciara's music video would not only be a dream, as a looked up to Ciara since a young girl, but it would also serve as a pivotal moment in the next phase of my career
If I received the $20,000 I would use a portion to further my dance training and the other to support Lung Cancer research, a cause that is deeply personal to me.
