My biggest inspiration has been entertainers such as Ciara, Beyoncé and Michael Jackson. I’ve used my expertise in different backgrounds from my degree in dance to shape my individual style. My style is energetic hip hop, sexy jazz and fused in your face ballroom. I love commercial styles and can’t wait to show it off!
Growing up I learned how to dance from watching music videos. Ciara was no exception. I would study her moves and try to emulate from “Goodies” to “Like a Boy”. Being in her music video would not only be a dream come true but a love letter to the younger version of my self to see how far I’ve come. I’ve looked up to her for years so it would mean more than words can describe!
If I was awarded 20,000 from the Dance Icon I would open up my own dance studio to teach underprivileged kids. I love to choreograph as well as perform and with me already being a dance instructor in a way of giving back I’d want to continue my passion for dance and creating for the next generation. I would also stay consistent taking classes and take my dance journey more seriously with the money as well.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
