Growing up, I focused on ballet and pointe dance techniques. I learned hip hop initially thru music videos then eventually signed up for classes at my local dance studio and expanded my dance technique from ballet to hip hop, modern and lyrical. Now I dance for fun at local studios as a way to workout with friends. I’ve always enjoyed performing and my friends encouraged me to apply because they love watching me dance and know my love for Ciara.
Watching Ciara’s videos growing up inspired me to use dance as a form of expression. As a way to connect with myself and others. Ever since I saw the “ride” music video it has been my dream to be in a Ciara music video. It felt like a sign when I saw this dance competition ad.
I left my hometown 10 years ago to move 1000 miles away for a work opportunity. I save and spend most of my money on flying home to spend time with family and friends. Flight prices have been rising and it’s been hard to travel home lately. I would use the money to travel to see my family more.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
