My dance inspiration initially came from growing up watching Disney Channel movies like High School Musical and the Cheetah Girls. I then started to immerse myself in dance after discovering my awe for girl groups, Western and Korean. My dance style is powerful, passionate and sexy!
Being in Ciara's mv will give me the green light to fully pursue dance with no regrets. I love dance but sometimes I fear that I am not good enough to pursue it fully because I don't have any professional training. I don't come from an upbringing where I was privileged enough to have the means to formally pursue a career in dance. But I never let that hold back my passion, so I taught myself consistently for years. This opportunity will give me the confirmation that my dream is worth pursuing.
I am currently in my junior year of college studying mechanical engineering. I would use a portion of the $20,000 to pay off my student loan debt, and the rest I will use to support my career advancement in the dance and entertainment industry. I will move to a location where I have the most opportunity to gain dance jobs, and I will invest in professional training.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
