Tell us about your dance style or inspiration:

My dance style is very passionate, raw and captivating. I’ve trained in various styles such as ballet, modern, etc. but being from the city of Philadelphia, my roots come from my city’s style of dance. Battling at a young age to transition into a trained dancer I’ve combined both the rugged aura of street dance with the poise of technical dance to create the Amina Nefertari experience. My style is genuine storytelling & to make the audience feel authentic emotions.

How would being in Ciara's music video impact your life?

Being in Ciara ‘s music video would impact my life because it has been my number one dream since I’ve seen her on TV. Ciara has been the inspiration for the reason why I wanted to be a dancer. I remember watching Goodies music video and saying to myself I want to dance like that. Not only would it be a dream come true but also be a testimony for me. A lot of people don’t make it out from Philly and for my students to see that it’s possible would mean the world.

What would you do with the $20,000?

If I was to win $20,000 I would invest an opening up a dance studio and invest in afterschool programs that focus on the arts. I would use these funds help navigate the children in Philadelphia down different paths that lead to better lives, giving them the outlet that they need. Allowing my dance studio to be a safe haven for them.
