Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
I grew up doing hip hop and have a deep love and appreciation for the culture of hip hop dance. My style is hard-hitting, with a strong focus on grooves that bring energy and personality to my movement. Recently, I’ve been exploring the more feminine side of hip hop, which has allowed me to expand my style and connect with the dance on a deeper level while continuing to grow as an artist. I have been trained in some Ballroom as well!
First of all, dancing in Ciara’s music video would be a dream come true—to dance for a celebrity I admire would be an incredible honor. It would also give me the boost I need to put myself out there and hopefully book more music video opportunities in the future. As a dance teacher and choreographer, it would help me grow a larger audience for my own choreography and pieces. If I won the $20,000, it would go directly toward my education. I’m a double major in Exercise Science and Dance Education, and as an international student, paying for school is a significant challenge. My family can only cover basic needs, and I don’t want to burden them with the cost of tuition. This money would ease my financial stress, allowing me to focus on my dream of becoming a physical therapist while incorporating my passion for dance to make a positive impact.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
