I'm definitely a performer and enjoy being on stage. I'm trained in all styles of dance, with my favorite styles being jazz and hip hop. I have the ability to dance big, as well as slowing it down and use my textures. Dance is a release. It's a way for me to express myself and my emotions and has also given me a lot of confidence. Most of my inspiration comes from the teachers and choreographers that work with me and help me mold myself into the dancer and person I strive to be.
Being in Ciara's music video would be a wonderful opportunity and be truly life changing. It would allow me to have a different type of dance experience and would help me emerge into the young dance artist I am hoping to be. I have listened to countless Ciara songs, and they always make me want to just get up and move. For me, this is an opportunity to get my face out there, while achieving my dream of dancing beside a top artist.
I would probably save part of it for my college fund, and use the rest to give back to my community. There are several homeless people in my town, and I would like to work with local shelters or organizations to find a way to help in the best way possible. I would also like to start an afterschool dance program for kids who want to dance, but may not be able to afford regular dance classes.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
