My dance style is a mixing pot of techniques and training. I am trained in ballet, jazz and commercial high energy dance styles, contemporary dance and African Diasporic dance styles. I am a Puerto Rican woman who allows my cultural traditions to shine through my movement as well. I have even studied abroad and explored dance in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. My dance style is to show each aspect of myself, fully and authentically. I enjoy pulling from all of my dance history!
Being in Ciara's music video would impact my life by truly launching my dance career. Since I was 10 years old, I knew I wanted to take my future and my career in dance seriously. My dream is to work on cruise lines after I graduate college, and then one day move to New York and perform on Broadway. Along the way, I would love to perform in commercial work such as concerts and large scale productions. Being in this video could put my name out there and pave the road to a bright future.
I would first use the $20,000 to pay off the rest of my schooling. I am a third year university student who is currently applying to graduate school, and this money would help me to finish my higher education. This could allow me business stability as I reach for the rest of my goals. Any left over money I would share with my family, especially my parents. They have paid for all of my schooling thus far, and I would love to repay them.
