I am proud to represent my African heritage through Afro dance. Also, since i grew up in Paris, started with Ballet my dance is heavily inspired by the French Hip Hop Street Culture. My inspiration has always been Michael Jackson because i was fascinated by his incredible aura and impactful energy on stage. Watching Ciara's music videos on TV (my goodies, one two steps...) with my mom gave me the click to start taking dance classes when i was 5. I have never stopped since then. I feel alive.
I have been building a community of people watching my journey from Paris, taking risk leaving a career to flying the other side of the world: chasing my dreams in Hong Kong where i live. Dancing in Ciara's music video would be the peak of my dance career: watching Ciara's mv at 5 with my mom in Paris to being part of it would give hope and inspiration to all young ladies that aren't confident enough to explore their passion and talent. I want to uplift them through this full circle story.
I would keep building my dance academy in Hong Kong to keep spreading the African culture throughout Asia (as i am Afro Asian). I would also start building a mentorship structure programme called "ELEVATE" to help accompany young women to build and navigate their artistic career as lots of them don't have the support from their family and get pressure from the society to choose a path they don't want. I want my voice and story to empower a larger audience to help transform and impact.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
