Dance is my personal and transformative way of telling my story. It has been a lifeline for my mental health, offering expression when words fail. Training in Soca, Dancehall, Chutney, and Bollywood has expanded my mind, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and making me more open to the world. Dance grounds me, fills me with purpose, and when I perform, I aim to connect with my audience, sharing that energy and helping them feel something profound and freeing.
Being in Ciara’s music video would allow me to showcase the hard work I've invested in myself over the past 19 years. It provides a platform to share my art and passion with the world. Ultimately, being part of this project would help build my legacy and inspire a community where young dancers feel empowered and supported to pursue their dreams.
With $20,000, I would open my own dance studio. Dance is my happy place and safe space, and I believe in the power of the community it fosters. I want to help people build confidence in who they are through dance, sharing the empowerment it brings. Providing that opportunity genuinely excites my soul. As an Indo-Caribbean woman, I've rarely seen people who look like me represented in the media. I want to be the representation that inspires young girls to follow their dreams without hesitation.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
