My love for dance began at a young age, dancing in front of the TV to artists like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Usher, and Ne-Yo. I started dance classes at five and have been working toward becoming a professional commercial dancer ever since. My biggest inspiration is my dance teacher, Miss Courtney. Her dedication and support have shaped me into the dancer I am today. She’s my biggest cheerleader and constantly inspires me to work hard and strive to be the best version of myself.
Being in Ciara’s music video would fulfill my dream of becoming a professional dancer. As a child, I pretended to be in music videos and promised my parents I’d be in one someday. This opportunity would prove to those who doubt my career choice that I’m capable of achieving my dreams. Ciara has always been a major influence on me, especially her “Like A Boy” video, which shaped my style. Being part of her project would mean everything to me.
I would put the $20,000 towards my college degree and to continue my dance training in order to pursue my dreams of being a commercial dancer. This year I am a senior in high school and will be paying for college on my own. 20,000 would help me tremendously to meet my educational goals and to grow as a dancer and performer!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
