I am inspired by authenticity and fresh interpretations of musicality. Incorporating feminine fluidity as well as accented attack moments in movement is a specialty. An inspiration to me currently is Galen Hooks and I admire her subtle movement choices that amplify dynamics in music - proving you don't always have to be the most full out to pull focus. My dance style embodies clear and concise movement, staying true to the choreography while adding a flare that grabs the audience's attention.
Being in Ciara's music video would fulfill a big dance dream of mine - to work with a major artist! My goal is to never stop evolving. I know I would learn invaluable lessons working with industry professionals in this setting. I want to continue to push myself to enter spaces I haven't yet gotten the opportunity to be a part of. You never know what one experience can lead to and I hope that I have a prosperous dance journey ahead of me!
I would use the prize money on continuing education such as workshops, master classes, trainings, conferences, and more to further my dance ability and knowledge. I would also put most of the $20,000 toward a house. Having stability in your personal life allows you to pursue your goals and dreams more freely!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
