I started competing in hip hop along the East Coast, where my love for performance grew. Competing at a high level fueled my passion to expand my training and pursue a professional dance career. I’m trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, modern, contemporary, Horton, and Laban, with experience in many other styles. I’d describe my style as “technically pleasing”—a blend of strong technical foundation and a deep expression of heart, creativity, and passion.
Being in Ciara's music video would open doors to the commercial dance world, fulfilling my dream of performing alongside iconic artists. I’ve always aspired to dance on tour, in videos, and at award shows with stars like Ciara. This experience will offer invaluable lessons, allowing me to grow and thrive in the dynamic commercial dance space while learning what it takes to succeed in this ever-evolving industry.
I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Howard University, with a lifelong goal to found a Dance Academy in Washington, DC. The $20,000 prize will help cover my graduate tuition for the final three semesters. Alongside school, I serve as Programming Director for a 48-year-old nonprofit dance organization, gaining valuable field experience. This prize will also support the launch of my free online youth dance classes, furthering my mission to make dance accessible to all.
