I grew up inspired by icons like Ciara, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and Misty Copeland. I love contemporary and jazz dance, and I can do a bit of everything. Contemporary allows me to tell a story through movement, while jazz and hip-hop let me express fierceness and confidence. Each style offers something unique, and I thrive on the ability to switch between expressive storytelling and high-energy performances. Dance is where I can truly be myself.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be life-changing. Just being in the room with such an icon would offer countless lessons on dance and professionalism. The connections and opportunities that could arise from this experience would be invaluable. It would be an eye-opening opportunity, and simply having the chance to be part of something like that would be a transformative moment in my life.
I would save the money for the university I’m attending, my future studio, and career. I’d also give back to the dance studio that shaped me. With my future social work degree, I plan to continue doing God’s work, helping others through both dance and social work. My goal is to inspire and uplift, using my talents and education to make a positive impact in the lives of those around me.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
