My organization stems from the love and burning passion I have for the expressive arts. Majorette as well as Hip-Hop is usually a dance style that is frowned upon or looked over. BDC strives to mold the youth from various neighborhoods in NYC into technically trained, and well-rounded dancers. We are a newly established organization, but I hope to expand our dance family to more neighborhoods throughout New York. I also would love the opportunity to start my professional dance career ❤️
This opportunity would be a blessing for me and my organization. We've all grown up dancing and singing along to Ciara! I will always rise to the occasion and perform! I genuinely feel like being apart of this experience and potentially winning will open up the eyes of the dancers who don't feel seen & those dancers who frequently feel overlooked. I believe this opportunity will help show the art of dance from a different and more relatable perspective.
$20,000 would be able to cover the competing and travel expenses for the less fortunate in my organization. I would also be able to jumpstart my professional dance career. There's so many different and positive outcomes that could stem from this experience & I'm hungry for ALL OF THEM. Lastly, Of course I can't forget about the immense amount of exposure this competition alone will bring to me as well as all other participants. Being in Ciara's Music Video would mean the world to me!
