With every class, whether it was hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, or modern, I’ve learned to break down the boundaries of what dance can be. The way my body learns to tell stories, express emotions, and connect with the music—it’s all a reflection of the love and lessons passed down to me by the women who raised me. There’s a piece of them in every move I make, from the sharpness of jazz to the freedom of modern flow, to the grounded pulse of hip-hop.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be a dream come true. It would be such an honor to bring my own passion for dance into something so iconic. It would push me to grow, challenge my skills, and allow me to share my love for dance with a broader audience. Most importantly, it would be a moment to celebrate everything I’ve worked for and the people who’ve supported me.
If I had $20,000, I’d use it for school to help cover tuition, supplies, and fees while working toward my BFA in dance. It would ease financial stress, allowing me to focus more on my training. I’d also use some to take extra classes and workshops to push myself further. This opportunity would mean a lot, not just to me, but to my family.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
