My dance style is heavily inspired by burlesque and majorette. I love the performance quality, sensuality and the art of story telling that burlesque dancers embody. My love for majorette stems from my years at Howard University, my favorite performances always involved dancing to the beat of the drums.
Being in Ciara’s video would be a childhood dream come true. From the moment she hit the scene with Goodies, she played an integral part in shaping dance culture! Every video left me wanting to learn the steps. Being selected for this opportunity would validate my place as a dancer. I am a late bloomer and started dancing at the age of 30. I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am and this would prove that no matter when you start or where you came from hard work pays off.
I would sit down with a financial advisor to learn how to invest a portion of it and make choices that would help me to flip the reward or have a large return on my investment so that I can leave a legacy for my son and retire my mom. My father has recently gone blind and can no longer work so my mom has been working so hard and has been really stressed trying to support my dad and still live a full life. I want to help them as much as I can!
