I excel in jazz dance with a hard-hitting style shaped by my early drill team experience. In freshman year, switching to a movement-based studio helped me soften my moves and overcome bad habits. Blending jazz’s power with smoother, fluid movement taught me that dance can be both bold and graceful. I’m proud of my journey and excited to keep evolving, merging energy with expression in every performance.
Being in this music video would be a huge opportunity to expand my resume and open doors for professional work after my senior year. It would give me real-world experience in the industry, helping me build connections and gain insight into professional dance settings. Performing in this environment would challenge me, push my versatility, and help me grow both as a dancer and a person, preparing me for future opportunities in the dance world.
Receiving 20K would greatly benefit me. My dad, a disabled veteran, was bedridden until I was 7, leaving my mom to work tirelessly to support my passion for dance. They sacrificed home renovations and more to help me pursue my dreams. I plan to use this money to update our home and help pay for college for both me and my brother, repaying their sacrifices and ensuring a brighter future for our family.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
