I grew up in church and wasn't able to afford to go to a dance studio for classes. My mom allowed me to be a part of our church dance team at the age of 10. I'm 37 now and I still dance with my church. My dance style is mostly contemporary and hip hop. I teach dance fitness and Zumba and love to do hip hop and reggeton routines.
Being in Ciara's music video would impact my life in many awesome ways. It would allow me to show the world that no matter your size, race, where you come from, or your financial status, you can do whatever you put your mind to. It would show my 3 children that their mama is not all talk and no action. She never gave up on her dreams and she is living proof that they can conquer theirs. It would give me the exposure needed to move into whatever God has next for me through dance.
I would use th $20,000 to put towards opening up my own dance /fitness studio. I want to be to other young ladies what my church was to me growing up. I want to be able to provide affordable dance classes for those who can't afford to dance professionally. I'll also use it to take care of my sons and get caught up on some bills.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
