My dance style is rooted in both hip hop and contemporary. I love merging the two to create a distinctive, personal approach to movement. I draw inspiration from Pauline Casino, Sam Javi, Todd Williamson, and Johnny Blaze (JBlaze). I’m most fulfilled when dancing to music that allows me sit into grooves and fully embody the pocket of a song. While I always gravitate toward street-style vibes, I always infuse feminine flair into my dancing, making each piece feel true to my artistic voice.
Being part of Ciara’s music video would be a huge milestone in my career. She is an icon who I’ve always looked up to with her style and music. It would give me an opportunity to showcase my unique style on a global platform, inspiring me to push my creativity further. This experience would open doors to new collaborations with other dancers, and help me grow my network. Lastly, it would prove to me that hard work pays off, and push me to continue being my most authentic self.
With $20,000 I would invest in my growth as a dancer and artist. A portion would go towards furthering my training by attending intensives and classes. I would also give back to my parents, as they have sacrificed so much for me to be where I am today. Then, I would save the rest for future expenses to give myself more financial freedom to pursue opportunities and my passions. Having that cushion would allow me to focus on my craft, and treat my family without the fear of financial stress.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
