A “1 and 2 and..” is my best friend, and what better way to express what cannot be explained by dancing out what you feel in your soul.
Help me compete to become the Dance Icon and appear in a music video with Ciara and win $20,000!
My dance style is hip hop choreography. I discovered the dancing bone was passed down to me through my father. He would playfully do moves and once I realized I could do the wave like him, there was a spark. That spark became a flame once the Step Up movie franchise graced my eyes. The production, the execution of every dance scene had me hooked. Dance is an art and seeing people create different paintbrush strokes with every move is inspiring, whether it’s real life or through a screen.
They say life has no limits and having the opportunity to be in Ciara’s video would be a real life example of the limitless. The chance to be beside a performer such as herself allows me to grasp what its like to be a “star.” Hopefully, the exposure will open doors that have yet to be opened. More than anything it will give me a chance to have fun, doing one of the things I love the most on a more serious scale. To be one with something that speaks to my heart the loudest.
I currently am one semester away from getting my Bachelor’s degree, so I would finish what I started and obtain my degree.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
