My dance style is Hip Hop! Although I’ve trained in various dance styles, Hip Hop is what made me fall in love with dance. When it comes to inspiration, I would say watching other dancers express their love for dance on stage lights a fire inside of me! Having the ability to dance is such a powerful gift—every time you dance is a chance to make a lasting impact on everyone watching.
Being in Ciara‘s music video would impact my life by being a full circle for me! The 1st dance I watched on TV was “Lose Control” at the 2005 BET Awards. I was so inspired, I entered my school talent show in 2006 dancing to “Get Up” and won 1st place. But, I wasn’t able to afford dance training growing up. My mom swept studio floors to pay for dance until I was old enough to teach in exchange for free class. Since then, I’ve never given up on my dream.
If I were to win $20,000, I would use it to build a Faith-based talent agency that serves the community and inspires Arizona dancers to never give up on their dream of being a professional dancer. Using the gifts and talent He has already given us is a way to fulfill your purpose. With so much talent in Arizona, it would be such a blessing to provide a space for the community to be able to develop their talent in a way that glorifies God through it all.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
