Growing up, being of Colombian descent, I mostly heard Salsa and Merengue in the house so it wasn’t until Middle School when I was introduced to Pop R&B. From there I became obsessed watching artist like Aaliyah, Britney, Usher, and of course Queen Ci. Everyone around me knows I’m Ciara’s biggest fan, literally since Summer 2004. Winning this competition, and honestly just being a part of it, would be a full-circle moment. I remember I auditioned for a similar contest in Miami back in the day where the choreo was “Get Up.” I remember working at the radio station it was me who got Ci to come in for an interview. Love her and I believe in her mission as an public figure and woman of God.
Being a young American especially one who just moved to Los Angeles from Miami, you can imagine my bills have piled up. I would pay off some of those, to be honest, and the majority chunk that’s left, perhaps visit my family in Colombia finally, as well as invest back into my dance community. Especially in LA after these fires! We need strength and teamwork to move forward and rebuild.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
