My dance style is a blend of ballet, modern, and hip hop. My entire life starting from childhood I have been inspired by Missy Elliot, Ciara, and Beyonce’s choreography and videos, and lately Jungle as well! I enjoy all styles of dance and challenge myself in all forms of the art.
This would impact my life by allowing me to step outside of my comfort zone and actually chase my dreams of being a professional dancer and/or backup dancer for my favorite artists.
I would pay off my student loans and travel to see the different styles of dance around the world. I dream of teaching others about how dance can help with depression, anxiety, and stress relief and possibly start an organization for this cause. Dance was always my outlet through difficult times and using the money to fund the start of sharing this with others would be a dream come true.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
