My dance style is water: fluid, flexible, and yet powerfully influenced by frequency/vibrations. Being in Ciara’s music video would greatly impact my life! For one, I’d love the opportunity to dance for you again, formally. (MetGala2022) That aside, I feel this music video would provide me the opportunity to transition into commercial work, and put me in the spaces I know I belong. I’m looking forward to studying from the ICON herself, and contributing my energy to this obelisk of a project.
To be honest, this money will change a lot for me. In addition to using the money to further my career as a multi-hyphenated artisan. I can finally afford my own place to live. As a black, queer, dancer who didn’t really come from much, I’ve had to go without a lot in order to pursue my dreams, and it would mean the absolute world to me to have a place to call my own.
