I grew up like a lot of dancers watching many of the greats. Josephine Baker, MJ, Ciara, Chris Brown, Omarion, Usher, NeYo, Missy Elliot, Alvin Ailey, Debbie Allen, etc.. I’ve studied and danced to them since 2 years of age. My style Would be considered Afro Caribbean contemporary fusion, but am technically trained in all forms.
This would be a dream come true to finally dance for one of my idols and add that under my belt as a performer. These opportunities don’t come that often and I want to show my daughter that no matter what, you can always accomplish your dreams. You can do whatever you’re passionate about when you put your mind and dedication to it.
I’d use the 20,000 to help me with my continuation in school to finish acquiring my BFA in dance at University. I would also love to keep providing for my daughter and to be able to keep putting monies aside for her schooling as she gets older.
