I love all styles of dance but my favorites are jazz, hip hop and contemporary. Jazz dance for its sass, smiles and energy. Hip Hop for its beat, power and ability to “own it” on stage. Contemporary for its movement, beauty and story telling. I am inspired by so many dancers and choreographers. I have been blessed to travel this year as a teen assistant with a dance convention and I am inspired more and more each day by not only the faculty, but by the dancers filling the room.
It has always been a dream of mine to be a dancer in a music video. I perform on stage and assist on stage….all of which I love. But a music video is a dance project that can be shared with both dancers and non dancers all over the world. And it tells a story that people can make personal in their own ways.
I honestly think I would take a portion to put towards furthering my dance education and training. A portion to buy plane tickets for auditions. A portion to host a dance camp for dancers that can’t afford dance on their own. And a portion to go towards the elementary school in Honduras that my mom visits and helps out.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
