Choreographer Nick Flores from SYTYCD told me once “you dance with your heart, don’t let anyone take that from you” so that was always my inspiration! It wasn’t till I was older that I understood what he meant. As you get older there’s more competition & envy towards you if you’re a good dancer but I didn’t let that dim my shine. Instead, I let my heart lead me and let my passion flow through when I perform! (Hiphop & Tap are my favorite styles)
It would fulfill my childhood dreams of dancing next to an icon!!! After all the missed opportunities I’ve had throughout my 18yrs of dancing, I would finally be able to say I did it!! This would be a door opening for me, I would feel complete inside, knowing my passion is still alive in me! I would be able to start my professional dance career and hopefully continue to have more amazing opportunities!!
With $20k I would be able to invest in my small business, turn my other dreams into reality! I would be able to donate a good portion to the church and my community! As giving back is one of my favorite ways to show love to others and being able to help/bless those in need is the best feeling ever! Especially because I know what it is like to have less.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
