I started dancing at the tender age of 5 and began competing at age 11. Dance has always been my first love and performing is my catharsis. I am inspired by many styles such as hip hop, modern, jazz and tap. I am quite flexible and agile as well so that intertwines with my dance abilities and enables me to experiment. I dance on my own time now as I have not found a competitive program in my area and it’s been years since I’ve had a professional dance class but the fire has never gon
It would change everything for me and my loved ones. Not just exposure, it would help me see the fruits of my labour from working on my craft for so long, especially getting to work with one of my favourite R&B artists from my teen years. There was one specific move from her ‘Goodies’ video I practice all the time. It would be nothing short of a dream come true. I suffer from some aspects mental illness and dance is my saviour. It would mean everything and more to me.
The first thing I would do is help my family out financially as we are struggling. I would invest in dance classes and actually have the means to make the commute. I would love to be able to indulge in my passion whenever I get the itch, which is all the time. I would begin renting my own apartment, travel, invest and save a big chunk for the future.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
