Even though I knew early on that I was good at it, I always used dancing as an escape. I didn’t attend the traditional dance academies, but I taught myself how to dance & received training in different elements along the way. Growing up, I was teased by fellow classmates & peers about my dancing. However, receiving an immense amount of love that outweighed the naysayers & criticism is what truly inspired me.
There are a many of great things I’ve experienced with dancing that made an impact on my life & I thank god first & foremost for those opportunities & the many more that may come; including the opportunity to meet & dance alongside someone I’ve admired since her debut.
I have a list of things I wish to do…(maybe not all at once) -Purchase a small studio loft, turning it into a dance sanctuary -Donating it to small black businesses -Helping out my younger siblings as I am the eldest of five
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
