My parents introduced dance to me at the age of 2 years old. I received training in many dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary, and I was a praise dancer at church. I was on the dance team in high school for all four years; in my senior year, I was captain. I also danced in college at Alabama A&M University for two years. I became a captain in my sophomore year of college, and during my junior and senior years, I was a dance team coach in Huntsville, AL. Dance is therap
Being in Ciara’s music video would impact my life because I would achieve a significant goal I thought was impossible. I enjoy being an engineer. Dancing, however, has always been a passion of mine, and obtaining a dance career seemed difficult due to my age and weight. I grew up admiring Mrs. Ciara’s dancing talent, and achieving this goal of being in her music video would make my younger self proud and remind my adult self that nothing is impossible!
With the $20,000 I would finish paying off my tuition for school. I am currently obtaining my PhD in Education, Instructional Design and Technology. This would be a tremendous help. I would take the leftover funds and invest into my savings and my dream start up of helping today's youth grow their knowledge in STEM.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
