Funny story I never had rhythm 🤣 it wasn’t until I was in front of my TV and Lose Control by Missy Elliot Ft. Ciara was blasting, I got up and started dancing and found my rhythm! From then on I was trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and hiphop. Hiphop will always be my favorite because there’s so many different variations in that genre where I can be myself and have fun. I love a hype dance because it gets the people going!
Being in Ciara’s music video would feel like a full circle moment from when I was in front of that TV as a little girl inspired by her moves. She helped build my confidence and proved to me that I don’t have to be a male to pop n lock, hand tut, or even crump dance. It would feel like a dream come true and I would hope to inspire younger girls in front of their tv how I did or should I say their tablet these days.
I plan to invest in a space where creatives can truly be theirselves. Whether it’s for dance classes, content creation, or other artistic pursuits, I want to build an environment that inspires and empowers others to express their talents freely.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
