I've trained in various genres of dance, but over the past 5 years I've found myself experiencing favoritism towards hip-hop and fusion styles. Through this, I've explored my artistry on a deeper level and consider my dance style to be unique and dynamic yet also versatile and clean. I am able to adapt to different styles within one genre while also personalizing movement to match my aura. A lot of my inspiration comes from seeing my mentors take on opportunities that are similar to my own goals
Being in Ciara’s music video would be an unforgettable experience for me. Many of my goals align with being in music videos and touring globally with artists. It would be my first professional job in the dance industry, helping to jumpstart my career as an upcoming artist. Allowing me to learn and experience from elite industry professionals. Most importantly, an opportunity for me to showcase my true talent to the world.
With $20,000, I would invest in my future by using part for tuition at an HBCU, investing in my education and future. I’d also allocate funds to advance my dance training, as I’m passionate about pursuing a career in dance, particularly on the West Coast where many opportunities lie. The remaining amount would go into savings, providing a financial cushion as I transition into adulthood and college life. This investment would support both my education and career aspirations.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
