I am a versatile dancer, rooted in hip hop styles like popping, locking, and waving, with a strong foundation in improvisation. At 21, I earned my dance degree from the University of Minnesota, where I trained in ballet, modern, and West African styles. As a professional, I seamlessly blend these techniques to suit each project. My work is deeply inspired by the healing power dance brings to both my body and spirit.
Meeting a cultural icon like Ciara would be an incredible inspiration. Growing up watching her, the chance to learn from her wisdom would mean so much. This opportunity could enhance my growth as a dancer and choreographer, opening doors in my field. It would also help me build a sustainable career to support my 5-year-old daughter.
I would use the funds to first catch up on bills and then invest in my dance company, STRONGmovement. The funds would support our summer intensive program for pre-professional artists and help secure studio space to create new work with top-tier artists in my community.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
