my style is uniquely my own. my classical training gave me the foundation, but my interpretations have allowed me to connect with people and cultures that i may not have ever crossed paths with. my friends joke that if there’s a dance circle, i’ll find it. my inspiration will always be Chloe Arnold because she made rhythm tap cool again & turns anything she touches into a masterpiece. but also my own dance students. seeing the way they show up for themselves & each other make
Being in this music video would completely change my life. it would validate my years of hard work, determination, and perseverance through the thousands of times i’ve heard “no,” based on my body type. it would prove to my students that hard work will always beat natural talent when natural talent doesn’t work hard and it will also show them that you can be a working, booked commercial dancer with curves, as long as you have the talent!
i would use it to help me get a small business loan to open the dance studio i’ve been planning to open with my mom. it is our dream to open and run our own dance studio and work for ourselves. it would absolutely change my life for the better.
