I can describe my style of dance as strong, energetic, sassy, and precise. I'm not just a hip hop, modern, or jazz dancer because I love to dance to all genres depending on the mood. Growing up, l used a lot of free training to get basic dance knowledge to go further in my career such as ballet, jazz, broadway, etc. You may not get a stunt out of me, but you will always get energy and life.
Being in Ciara's music video would be a dream come true, especially for an early 2000s baby like me who loves to dance. The opportunity would also give me that extra reassurance that: what I love is possible for me to do. I remind myself that hard work pays off no matter who believes in me or how many times I fail, and getting the opportunity to dance alongside Ciara could allow me to show everyone why I enjoy what I do without having to explain it.
When I win the $20,000 I'm definitely helping my mom pay off my student loans because we're not rich at all, and she chose to dig herself in a deeper hole to support my dreams. So because of her, I'll be graduating with the c/o 2025. Also, I would like to invest the leftover money into opening a dance studio in my hometown, Washington DC, because I dream of starting my own adult hip-hop dance team, and having a safe space, of my own, to be creative.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
