My dance style is a fusion of multiple styles that stem from my early training in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, African, & liturgical dance. I am a versatile and adaptive dancer and comfortable with technical foundation and expressive, rhythmic movement. My style emphasizes my deep connection to community and storytelling with a more recent urban, streetwise influence focusing on musicality, energy, and dynamic, sharp movements. I pull inspiration from many corners of the dance world!
Ciara is an absolute ICON! Having the opportunity to be in her music video would offer life changing opportunities to grow professionally as a performer, network, build a personal brand, and expand my artistic influence. Paired with my medical background, it would make me a more innovative individual: an exceptional performer and medical professional with a unique perspective on the intersection of art and health and allow me to inspire others to do the same because it’s possible! :)
I’m all about continuing my education and pouring into our future innovators. As a medical student & dance teacher, I would use the money to attend medical conferences, which align with my interest and complement my dance background. As medical school is expensive, I would also use a portion to reduce my debt burden. Lastly, I would absolutely want to collaborate with my dance studio where I teach and offer a scholarship or sponsor a young scholar!
