My dance style is hip hop, a form of expression that fuels my passion. I’ve been part of a dance team for over seven years, growing as a performer and teammate. My greatest inspiration is my late mother, who always encouraged me to dance and follow my dreams. Her unwavering support reminds me daily to persevere and honor her memory through movement. Dancing keeps her spirit alive in my heart, motivating me to keep going.
I am young, black, and gifted. I’ve been through a lot and at times lost my way. But now, I’m reconnecting with my true self and purpose. This opportunity will impact my life in ways words can’t describe. By showcasing my talents, doors will open for me to network and grow. I’m driven to represent something bigger than myself, making a positive impact on others. God willing my dance career, purpose, and life’s trajectory will be all be shown his video.
$20,000 would dramatically improve my life by allowing me to give back to nonprofit dance teams, like the one I was part of. It would help me invest in myself by opening a dance studio or nonprofit dance organization. Most importantly, it would enable me to pour into those who’ve supported me, helping others as I continue to grow. This opportunity would not only impact my future but also allow me to inspire, uplift, and give back to the community that shaped my journey.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
