My strongest styles are contemporary and hip hop. My biggest inspiration for hip hop is Sean Bankhead, I love how every single one of his dances are different but when you see it you know it’s his work. My love for contemporary came from Dr. Johnson my dance professor at NCCU ( North Carolina Central University). When she pushed me beyond what I thought I could do I started to enjoy contemporary more and more.
It would make all the training, frustration, and late nights worth it. My dream is to become a professional dancer for film and to tour with an artist and I know this video will help my career. Most importantly it’ll make my parents very proud.
I would save the money and invest it towards my own dance studio that I am going to have in the future. After I retire from being a professional dancer my goal is to open a safe space for everyone who enjoys dance.
