My dance style isn't confined to just one genre. When I dance, I focus on bringing the music to life. I thrive on the boldness and energy of hip hop, yet I find a deep emotional connection in the stillness of contemporary. Every song I dance to is a story, told through my movements and expressions. For me, dance styles are languages, and I want to speak them all.
To be introduced into the dance industry by dancing along side Ciara in her music video would be an unforgettable life changing experience. Not only would I be showcased out in the world with thousands of eyes on me, I would have taken a big step into my journey of dance and help transition my journey into a career. Additional note: One song I always go back to is “Lose Control” by Missy Elliot with Ciara and Fat Man Scoop; music will always make me lose control!
$20,000 would be life-changing in the best possible way. Coming from a family of 9, I would share a portion with my sister, who has kids, and my parents. A huge part would go towards Triple H (Hip Hop at Harper), a dance team I recently started at Harper Community College. The money would help expand the club with dozens of opportunities to build up strong performers. It would help Triple H’s purpose to become an organization for growing talent out of those that never was given the chance.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
