I have been dancing since the age of 3 and my inspiration comes from a mix of all styles. Hip-hop, lyrical, and heelography are my favorites. I lean heavily towards expressing my sexuality as a woman when choreographing/dancing because it is truly a form of empowering ourselves as women and building unbreakable confidence!
I have been working very hard for a long time towards building my brand as a dancer/choreographer via social media and physically teaching classes in person. Being granted the blessing of participating in Ciara’s video would give me the credibility and reach to make my dreams a reality! I’ve wanted this ever since I was a little girl and even at 28 do not plan on stopping until I get it!
This amount of money would be life changing for me. As a mother of two my partner and I both work full time and pursue creative careers as well. I have built a decent reputation in my city as a dancer/choreographer/performer and this money would be the start up I need to open my own studio. I pray that it would be the start of a franchise of studio spaces! I advocate for the arts in any way I can so I would be honored to give back to the impoverished community I live in by giving them an outlet!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
