My dance style comes from different walks of life and embodies resilience, passion, and storytelling. It’s trial and error, just like life. My movement tells my story—from hip hop and Afrobeat to jazz, heels, contemporary, and popping. I’m inspired by diverse genres, cultures, and communities, finding connection through music, which is life’s soundtrack. Growing up surrounded by artists and brave women who express themselves through dance has shaped my journey!
Being in Ciara’s music video would be life-changing. I admire how she’s opening doors for diverse women, and I believe the industry has room for more diversity. Age, skill, and body type should never be limits. Being part of her video would inspire my students and others to keep going, follow their dreams, and believe in themselves. It’s about expressing yourself, moving your body for freedom, health, and joy. I want to be part of that magic and show that dreams are possible!
As a dancer and therapist, I would develop a social-emotional learning program through movement for both students and adults. I’d create afterschool programs for youth, similar to the ones that helped me start dancing, and offer wellness programs for adults to enhance mental health. Additionally, I’d use part of the funds to take my mom to Liberia, a place she hasn’t been in 20 years since leaving for safety and a new beginning. It would be a life-changing opportunity for all!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
