My dance style focuses on hip-hop/bboy, modern, & latin dance. I'm passionate about expressing myself & telling a story through movement. Growing up, I loved listening to different types of music (including playing music) & I realized my talents when I was told that it came naturally to me. I loved watching dance movies/tv shows such as Step Up, You Got Served, So You Think You Can Dance, & American's Best Dance Crew. I also had the privilege of taking dance classes in college.
Being in Ciara's music video would validate the years I've dedicated to dance, proving that my passion and perseverance were worth it. This opportunity is a dream come true, a chance to showcase my artistry on a global stage. It would allow me to connect with other dancers and industry leaders, opening doors to further my career in dance and entertainment. I'm ready to bring my all to this once-in-a-lifetime moment and proudly represent as a latino, first-gen immigrant, and son of immigrants.
After being unemployed for 7 months, this award would help me regain financial stability & pursue opportunities to continue giving back. Additionally, I would like to invest in my content creator journey, including video equipment and a new wardrobe to elevate my brand & platform. My wife and I also founded La Luz Scholarship to support first-generation college students, regardless of immigration status. A portion of the $20,000 would expand its impact, lighting the path to success.
