The evolution of hip hop dance style inspires me, it’s more than just movement; it’s about storytelling, self-expression, and representing who you are. Dancers like Michael Jackson, the Electric Boogaloos, and pioneers of breaking, popping, and locking have shaped the culture. The diversity of modern dancers and crews today (like Les Twins, Kinjaz, or Keone & Mari) also inspires creativity.
Being in one of Ciara’s music videos could be a transformative experience, especially for a hip hop dancer Like me. Ciara is an iconic figure in dance and music. Being featured in her video would expose my talent to a massive audience and connect me to industry professionals like choreographers, directors, and other dancers. Working with Ciara and her team would allow me to learn new choreography styles and techniques, challenging and growing my abilities as a dancer.
I would network and collaborate by using the experience and funds to connect with other artists and dancers, building relationships that can lead to more opportunities in music videos, tours, or theater. I would also save for the Future Emergency Fund: Set aside money for financial stability, giving you freedom to focus on creative opportunities. Education: I would save for dance education or business courses to prepare for the next phase of my career.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
