I was inspired to dance since I was young by other music artists. There flow and upbeat in the music videos is truly what makes dance so fun. My strongest dance style would be hip hop. Hip hop can be very versatile and creative. I’ve danced genres of ballet all the way to contemporary, but hip hop is what I truly feel helps the body express itself in extraordinary ways. Hip hop can be groovy, but also sharp. This is why hip hop helped me grow as a dancer.
I grew up in a small town that didn’t have many opportunities for dance. Unfortunately, dance wasn’t really promoted in my area either. Because of this, being in the music video would really impact my life. It would allow me to experience dance in a professional level while gathering new experiences as well. I would grow as a dancer and make new connections. It would also allow me to show other dancers that your background does not matter, but rather reaching to your highest potentia
I would cover a portion of my dance expenses and a portion of my university expenses so I can continue to study dance as my major. I would help my parents as much as possible with the money, this way they don’t stress over my expenses anymore. It would also help me get a car so I can continue to travel and explore dance options throughout my career. This money would also be the start of me getting the opportunity to move to a bigger city that offers better opportunities.
